Wishlist importing fixed for non-English speaking locales
A bug that was stopping Amazon users from France, Germany, and Japan from importing their wishlists has been fixed. If you’ve recently received a message about being unable to find any ASINs in your wishlist, please try submitting your request again and your wishlist should be imported properly.
Sorry about that! We have to pull the products from your wish list “manually” now that Amazon has removed that data from their API, and sometimes this kind of thing breaks. Please email me - dan@shup.com - if you continue having trouble importing your lists.
Update
This does not apply to “invalid wishlist URL” errors. Remember, the wishlist URL you enter into our system needs to be shared with the public (so we can read it). Here’s what good and bad wishlist URLs look like:
Bad (private, accessible only by you): http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/wishlist
Good (public / shared): http://www.amazon.co.jp/registry/wishlist/J8MOH9UENZA5
Notice the wishlist ID — “J8MOH9UENZA5” — in the URL? If your URL doesn’t have something similar, it probably isn’t going to work in our system.
