Blacklisted at Amazon: Apple Aperture 3

June 21st, 2010 by dan

FYI: Amazon won’t allow us to grab any sort of data for Apple Aperture 3.  That could change in the future, but for now we cannot track this product.

(We could just scrape the product page but we prefer to play nice with Amazon.)

The Camelizer for Chrome: Featured by Google!

April 5th, 2010 by dan

After weeks of waiting, today marks the start of the Camelizer’s life as a Featured Pick on Google’s Chrome extensions site.  That means our extension was hand-selected by Google as one that is particularly awesome, like last week’s selection that aggregates racial slurs on YouTube (but even more useful.)

If you haven’t tried the Camelizer yet, click on that nice big screenshot and install it already!  By doing so you gain immediate access to all of our price history charts, directly from your browser.

Lack of updates

I am sorry for the lack of updates in the last week+ but I was out sick, honest!  Thankfully I am on the mend now though and plan on busting out some awesome new features soon, like keeping your Amazon wishlists up-to-date with your Camel price watches.

And maybe I’ll get images posted on this blog to show up without being squeezed into ugliness.

A great camelcamelcamel review

January 28th, 2010 by dan

Chad Skelton, the Curious Dad at the Vancouver Sun, wrote a nice review about using the Canadian version of camelcamelcamel to save money at Amazon.ca.  Luckily, for everyone who is unlucky enough to live outside Canada, the tips he provides are applicable to all flavors of the Camel.  Maybe you’ll even be able to replicate his results!  (He saved $20 his first time out.)
